The Challenge

The idea for Keote began to take shape while I was living in downtown Minneapolis. Frequent trips to the grocery store and local corner markets often led to the same dilemma: I’d forget my reusable bag.

On the rare occasions I remembered to bring one, it never fit properly in my fanny pack or crossbody, leaving me awkwardly juggling an empty bag flapping in the wind as I walked to the store. On top of that, I’m someone who likes everything to be color-coordinated, and the bright, mismatched reusable bags I had just didn’t cut it.
